It’s Karate! Whether people admit it or not, this is what makes him so great. His skills in the other “popular” martial arts (MT, wrestling, BJJ) are solid, but it’s his karate that puts him over the top and makes him exceptional.The reason why we don’t see more TMArtists in MMA is the quality of TMA instruction, and the lack of training against other disciplines. Lyoto doesn’t just train karate against karate guys, MT with MT guys, etc. Lyoto has trained to use karate against other disciplines. He knows how a MT fighter moves, but most MT fighters don’t know how a karate practitioner moves.

I was just in London about 3 months ago and these pictures made me go really nostalgic. I want to go back so badly. It was an amazing trip and I met some great people. I almost caught a UFC event while in the UK too! It would have been so much fun but I missed it. Anyway,  I have an awesome upcoming fight to watch with GSP and BJ Penn. I don’t know how I am going to watch it though because I haven’t saved for it this month. Most likely I will go check the UFC 94 results then find an archived version of the fights later. I can’t decide who I think will win. Who do you think?

I recently found a great new hobby, collecting vinyl toys. What do you think about that? This is best site I have found so far for Mighty Muggs. I like it because it has all the rare finds and what not. You can find them cheaper on Hasbro’s site but they are usually all sold out so I always go to this site.

I have also started to get back into the UFC. I watched the Rich Franklin vs. Dan Henderson fight video today. I got really excited for it, but I am not sure how I feel about getting into UFC again. It’s kind of an expensive hobby. Is 45 dollars too much to pay for an event?

Also, I am thinking about making a website of my own, like doing my own design in addition to my free blog. What do you think?

I just wanted to make my first post and say hi. I am looking forward to posting more and getting involved in blogging. I have learned that I have to post consistently to get anywhere with getting a reader base so I am going to try and get a post up a least once a week. If anyone has any tips on blogging I would love some, leave them in the comments I guess, any tips would be great. Thanks!
